Random Acts of Kindness Campaign
January 28, 2008
Because we believe that the universal spirit of bread is sharing, we’re committed to the communities we live in and serve. We show our appreciation for customers not only within our bakery-cafes but also by sponsoring local community events. That’s why we’re sharing kind thoughts and the act of giving with you.
Every year, Random Acts of Kindness Week is celebrated across the country as a way to get community members and organizations to act in a kind and generous way towards one another. This year we will again participate in National Random Acts of Kindness Week, which lasts from February 11-17.
Throughout the week we will be working our hardest to spread kind feelings to our guests and throughout the communities we serve. Our hope is that with one act of kindness we can encourage you, and the rest of our customers, to share that kind feeling with someone else. Whether it is your best friend or a stranger, we want to include the community in giving the gift of kindness with us.
We’d love to hear from you. Please take a moment to post an entry and tell us about a kind act that has happened to you, or that you have done for another. Thank you for visiting our Random Acts of Kindness Blog. We look forward to hearing from you again soon!

I was send coupons from to hand out for your Random Acts of Kindness campaign. So far, I have given out the coupons to our volunteers that serve at our American Red Cross Blood Drive each month at our church.
Will seek out other opportunities to hand out the other coupons in the next few weeks to unsuspecting people.
Thank you for your random act of kindness in choosing me to spread some smiles.

A random act of kindness that sticks with me happened this past holiday season. I was “last minute shopping” for Christmas gifts at a major department store. A special sale was going on, but you had to have a coupon to receive the discounts. There was a woman in line in front of me (who took a long time to check out.) Once her transaction was finished, she handed me her coupon to use. It was a wonderful feeling knowing a stranger would share this coupon with me! The kindness of others is not forgotten. After I used the coupon, I passed it to someone entering the store as I was leaving! I hope they were able to pass it on too!
